Budget hearings begin Wednesday, September 9 at 5:00 p.m.
Sacramento County’s Revised Recommended Budget for Fiscal Year 2020-21 has been released and the Board of Supervisors will begin hearings at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Sep. 9, 2020. The hearings will continue beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Sep. 10 and Sep. 11, if necessary. You can read the budget letter and a complete set of budget documents online.
Given the uncertainties around the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on County revenues and cost increases, the FY2020-21 Recommended Budget approved on June 16 was a placeholder budget that rolled over the FY2019-20 Adopted Budget.
The budget hearings will be telecast live on Metro Cable 14 and on the web. Members of the public are welcome to comment on any item in the budget. To make a verbal public comment, dial the Public Comment Phone Line at (916) 875-2500. The phone line will be open 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. To make a written comment, send an email to BoardClerk@saccounty.net.
