On Tuesday, May 7, 2013, the Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to support and fund the Blue Ribbon Commission’s recommendations to reduce disproportional African American child mortality rates in Sacramento County. Thanks to everyone including community and faith partners, health professionals, concerned citizens, and the Commission who worked so hard during the last 18 months to carefully formulate specific recommendations and an implementation plan to address this important issue.
