“UnSupervised” Music Benefit Rocks for Scholarships

On March 20, Supervisor Phil Serna and his band “UnSupervised” raised over $14,000 for the DHA Scholarship Program to help send 56 graduating high school seniors to college with an extra $500. These funds matched money raised by employees of the Departments of Human Assistance and Health & Human Services. Thanks to all those who generously supported this effort.

Since the DHA Scholarship Program’s inception in 2000, more than 425 students from area high schools have received scholarships to help finance their continuing education at an accredited college, university, technical or trade school of their choice. The program is supported solely by the generosity of Sacramento County employees who hold various fundraisers throughout the year – no public dollars are used.
