Supporting Employees Who Serve

When a member of the National Guard or Reserve is deployed and called away to duty they are most likely also leaving behind a job. Employers are also asked to serve their country by providing the service member flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, granting leaves of absence if needed, and more.

ESGR Recognition 11-10-2015

On November 10, 2015, the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and the Board recognized 40 employers from both the Sacramento area and from within the County of Sacramento who were nominated by a service member employee for going above and beyond to support them. To all of our U.S. military service members, I thank you for your service, bravery and commitment to our country, and extend my appreciation to the employers who support these men and women.
