Reward Offered in Teen’s Homicide Case

Earlier this week, the County of Sacramento offered a reward in the amount of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Jessica Funk-Haslam earlier this month. This reward money was established based upon the recommendation of the county’s Chief Executive Officer, and with the approval of the County Board of Supervisors.

Jessica’s body was discovered in the early morning hours of March 6, 2012, in Rosemont Community Park. The investigation into this incident is ongoing, and no suspect(s) have been identified in connection with this case. Detectives continue to seek the identity of any individuals who may have been with Jessica, or who were in the vicinity of the park between 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on March 5th.      

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at (916) 874-5115. Callers’ information may remain confidential.
