Land Transfer a Milestone for McClellan Business Park

Governor Brown approved the early transfer of 528 acres from the former McClellan Air Force Base to McClellan Business Park that will result in the cleanup, remediation and revitalization of the area sooner and more efficiently.  The transferred property includes warehouses, office buildings and contaminated vacant land from past industrial practices.  Under the agreement, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency assumes cleanup oversight in collaboration with Department of Toxic Substances Control and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board.  This is the third early transfer with cleanup involving multi-agency cooperation at McClellan.  My thanks to all partners who collaborated to transform and remediate McClellan Park making it the good neighbor it is for local residents and businesses.  Read press release for more details.
