On Tuesday, January 15, 2019 I had the great fortune to begin service for a third term on the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, representing the First District. My partner in life – my lovely wife Roxanna – administrated the oath of office in board chambers and in the presence of family and close friends. 
Supervisors Patrick Kennedy and Don Nottoli were also sworn in to serve their 2nd and 7th terms respective
ly. Congratulations! Supervisor Kennedy was elected as the 2019 Chair of the Board and yours truly as Vice Chair.
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who makes it possible to serve, most notably my dear family, district one voters, and the public servants working on behalf of Sacramento County residents. My late parents, all of whom shaped me into the person I am today, still continue to stand with me in spirit. I count myself as the most fortunate native Sacramentan to serve his home community, and I pledge to continue working in the best interest of those I’m charged to faithfully represent.
